Professor Yaakov Nahmias, the Director of the Alexander Grass Center for Bioengineering at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem was accepted into the American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering (AIMBE) for his outstanding contributions to liver tissue engineering and drug development.
Prof. Nahmias is the founder of several biotechnology startups including Tissue Dynamics, a human on chip platform providing services to drug and cosmetic companies, and Future Meat Technologies, a low cost manufacturing solution for cultured meat.
