Information
In order to be eligible for the GWCMS, the following conditions apply:-
- You will need to furnish proof of your status as an Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander with Australian residence. This can be through
a. Written confirmation by a recognised representative of your local Indigenous community of your Indigenous status (usually through your local land council, but other evidence will be considered).
b. A signed statutory declaration
- You must have applied to the Hebrew University (HUJI), via the links for your specific program by no later than 15 January 2024
Immediately upon receipt of advice from the HU that you have been accepted for your course of choice, you should then immediately complete the Golimdja William Cooper Scholarship Application Form and submit the form together with a copy of the HUJI advice and proof of your Aboriginal/Torres Islander status and Australian residency by no later than 15 April 2024.
Applications for the GWCMS will be assessed by the Committee with an emphasis on:
- Likelihood to successfully complete the relevant program
- Willingness to give back to the Australian Indigenous Community through applying the knowledge and skills gained in Israel for the benefit of Australia and, in particular, the indigenous community.
