Professor Peter Gonski will speak about how essential it is to take medications the way they are prescribed and also that medications be reviewed regularly for benefits, effects, and side effects. Medications are crucial for the prevention and treatment of multiple medical conditions. Some are lifesaving and others improve quality of life however they also have their downside, particularly as the number of medications increase. As we age or develop chronic diseases, we are more likely to be prescribed an increased number of medications and see several specialists, so the need to become aware of how to manage multiple medications becomes ever more important. Professor Gonski will address all this and more in what promises to be a most interesting morning so please RSVP early to ensure your place.
