Mechina
Our flagship Mechina Program offers you intensive language training as well as studies in Jewish history, Israel studies, statistics or mathematics and more. For some courses, you may earn credit through HebrewU’s Faculties of Science, Humanities, and Social Sciences.
Academic Credit
If you are already proficient in English or Hebrew, you may earn credits toward a bachelor’s degree your program, including:
- Introductory-level courses from the RIS Division of Undergraduate Studies
- Courses from the Faculties of Humanities and Social Sciences: International Relations, Psychology, Business Administration, Economy, Statistics and more.
- Courses from the Exact Sciences: Biology, Physics and more.

Eligibility
Mechina Programs are designed for high school or secondary school graduates who plan to pursue a degree at HebrewU or another institutions in Israel, and who:
- Have a diploma from an institution outside of Israel (generally not considered equivalent to the Israeli matriculation certificate), and/or
- Need to improve their Hebrew or English skills
