Ron is a former President of the Zionist Federation of Australia and is now a life member. He is also Hon. Life President of the Zionist Council of NSW. In 2010 he was awarded his AM by the Governor General of Australia. He is also the recipient of many other awards including the Jerusalem Prize and in 2005, the inaugural Herzl award.
