Gary’s exceptional service spans 1,500 rescues, including motor vehicle collisions, suicide crisis negotiations, and armed offender confrontations. His role on the NSW Police Helicopter team was pivotal, and he excelled as a Suicide Crisis Negotiator.
Gary’s achievements extend beyond his policing career. He’s a 1st Dan black belt in karate and actively involved in various community and charitable organizations. Notably, he’s received numerous awards, including the Australian Police Medal and Order of Australia Medal.
His unwavering courage shines in the face of disasters and crises, from the Hilton Hotel Terrorist Bombing to the Sri Lankan Tsunami, bushfire emergencies, and COVID-19 pandemic.
