Telling Their Stories
Preserving Jewish Stories for Future Generations
Jacqui Wasilewsky will share why recording your life story, no matter how ordinary it may seem, is a precious gift for your family and a rewarding experience for you. She will introduce the Sydney Jewish Museum’s Community Stories program and, drawing on her work with hundreds of authors and interviewees, offer inspiring examples to help you get started on what might seem like a daunting task.
Jacqui Wasilewsky has been Project Manager of the Sydney Jewish Museum’s Community Stories Department for 20 years. Since 2005, she has overseen more than 120 publications and the Museum’s extensive Oral History Archive, coordinating authors, editors, and interviewers, and working closely with curators on exhibitions and community projects.
